Mba’e Porã (pronounced Mmbaê porã), in Guarani means “good thing”, “beautiful thing”.“Mba’e Porã Festival: art for the protection of the indigenous people”, will take place virtually from the 7th to the 16th of August of 2020. It is born collectively, and unites a diversity of beautiful and good gestures with the intention of gathering resources for the Guarani-Kaiowá in Mato Grosso do Sul.

The Festival

Built and realised in a completely virtual manner, in lieu of Covid-19, the Mba’e Porã Festival will have an online exposition of artwork for sale donated by a diversity of artists from the state. There will be a series of talks, musical presentations, and varied cultural offerings from diverse national artists through social media platforms to stimulate people to contribute with virtual funding.

How to make a Donation?

You can help the Guarani-Kaiowá by making donations to the On-Line fund. Unfortunately the selection of artwork for purchase will not be available for international parties, only for those inside of Brazil.

Which actions will be taken with the gathered resources?

All of the funds from the Festival will be directed to build artesian wells and for purchasing individual protection equipment for the Guarani-Kaiowá people of Dourados/MS.
